Summer Holiday 4 day break with the Children

Settle in, explore the House and Gardens and enjoy a freshly made coffee and homemade cake and a yummy hamper of locally made goodies.  Then after lunch pop down to the local town of Clun (either in the car down the lanes or by taking a walk over the fields).  Here the kids can play at being Knights & princesses around the Castle ruins before enjoying an ice-cream by the river and a paddle with the ducks.

Visit the Acton Scott Historical Working Farm (as seen on BBC 'Victorian Farm') to enjoy a step back in time to how rural England used to be.  Have some food at the cafe or take a short drive up to the top of the Long Mynd and enjoy a picnic in this beautiful area Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Have a morning relaxing in the Gardens at Llanhedric House, whilst the kids play on the swings or enjoy a game of hide and seek in the vastness of the House and Gardens.  Or gather everyone together for a game of cricket, badminton or croquet.  Then take a short drive to Bishops Castle where you can pick up some fresh local produce to grill on the BBQ later.  While you're there take the kids for a splash around in the swimming pool or enjoy a glass of cold local beer in the Castle Hotel whilst the kids have fun playing in the large beer gardens.

Take a trip into the nearby pretty market town of Ludlow where you can explore the towers of the magnificent 11th Century Castle and sample the foods from the local produce market.  Then travel a bit further and treat the kids (and yourself) to a trip around Cadburys World - where everyone can feel like @Charlie in The Chocolate Factory' for the day.
